Auvergne Ochre

Provence Fabric

Auvergne Ochre is a warm ochre-gold damask with a pale, chalky pattern that lifts the surface beautifully. The ornate scrolling motif feels crisp against the woven background, giving the fabric a bright heritage look.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% recycled polyester, this fabric is 145cm wide and has a 35cm vertical by 35.5cm horizontal repeat. The ochre ground reads as a soft golden tan rather than a deep mustard, while the pattern sits over it in a light ivory tone for a gentle contrast. Its large damask motif mixes scrolling foliage, stylised birds and floral medallions, creating a decorative surface that feels traditional but fresh. The texture visible in the image has a fine, tactile weave that suits statement upholstery with a lighter, more refined finish.

How to use it

Use this colourway on a classic armchair, bench or headboard where the ochre ground can add warmth without feeling heavy. It also works well with pale stone, warm white and dark wood, letting the ivory pattern stand out cleanly.

Pair with chalk white or aged brass for a bright, heritage feel.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
