Royal Garden Velvet Jewel is a dense, richly coloured floral velvet with a shadowy blue-green and charcoal ground. Coral, blush, ochre, teal and burgundy blooms emerge across the surface, giving the swatch a saturated, jewel-toned depth.

About this fabric

Made from 55% viscose and 45% cotton, this 137 cm wide velvet has a softly plush appearance that deepens the dark ground and catches light across the floral motifs. The pattern combines large peach and coral flowers with smaller teal, blue, ochre and wine-coloured blooms, creating a painterly, intricately layered effect. With a 64 cm vertical repeat and 69 cm horizontal repeat, the design is suited to generous pattern placement on furniture and soft furnishings. It is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads, with a 50,000 Martindale rub test; professional dry cleaning is required.

How to use it

Use this Jewel colourway on a statement armchair, headboard or sofa where its charcoal-blue depth can balance warm timber and aged brass. Pick out the coral, teal or muted ochre flowers in cushions and smaller accents rather than introducing another dominant pattern.
