About this fabric

The colour reads as a softened sapphire blue, tempered by grey-toned threads that give the design depth rather than a flat, saturated finish. Small interlocking diamond and stepped motifs form regular vertical bands across the cloth, with a gently textured woven appearance visible in the swatch. It is 137 cm (53.82") wide, with a 15 cm (5.89") vertical repeat and a 28 cm (11") horizontal repeat. Composed of 6% Polyester, 52% Viscose, 24% Cotton and 18% Linen, it is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads, with a 45,000 Martindale rub test.

How to use it

Use the cool sapphire tone to bring tailored depth to a reading chair, headboard or sofa, pairing it with warm timber and pale neutrals to soften the blue-grey effect. Its compact repeat also works neatly on curtains and bedspreads where the vertical rhythm can remain clearly visible.

A cool sapphire geometric weave with enough durability for upholstery and enough structure for tailored curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Chimney Weave Sapphire without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
