Esker Indigo

Essential Colours II FabricBF10685.680

Esker Indigo reads as a deep, cool blue textile with a finely rippled horizontal surface. Closely spaced pale threads soften the indigo ground, giving the colourway a subtly weathered depth.

About this fabric

The close-up shows a dense, fine weave of irregular horizontal lines, with pale grey and warm ivory threads flickering through the deep indigo base. This restrained linear texture gives the cloth visual movement without introducing a distinct motif or large-scale pattern. At 137 cm (53.82") wide, it is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. Its composition is 40% viscose, 38% cotton, 16% linen and 6% polyester, with a 40,000 Martindale rub test for practical upholstery use. Care instructions are professional dry cleaning only; do not wash, bleach or iron.

How to use it

Use Esker Indigo to bring a cool, grounded blue note to an armchair, headboard or tailored curtain, where its pale horizontal flecks can sit comfortably with chalky neutrals and warm timber. Its quiet surface texture also suits a layered bedspread without competing with stronger patterns.

A versatile indigo micro-texture with enough structure for upholstery and enough softness for curtains and bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
