Magma Marble
Essential Colours II FabricBF10682.106
Magma Marble is shown here as a quiet ivory-cream textile with a finely grained, almost linen-like surface. Its close woven structure gives the pale colour gentle depth rather than a flat white appearance.

About this fabric
The swatch combines warm cream and very subtle beige-grey threads in a small, even weave, creating a softly tactile surface with no visible printed motif. It is made from 42% Linen, 28% Viscose, 24% Cotton and 6% Polyester, with a 132 cm (51.86") width. The 40,000 Martindale rub test supports its use for both loose and fixed upholstery, while the supplied usage also includes curtains and bedspreads. Care is professional dry cleaning only: do not wash, bleach or iron.
How to use it
Use this soft ivory colourway to lighten an upholstered chair, sofa or headboard without introducing stark white, or repeat it through curtains and bedspreads for a calm, tonal room. The faintly mixed weave pairs naturally with warm timber, stone and other muted neutrals.
A softly textured ivory weave suited to upholstered seating, curtains, bedspreads and relaxed layered schemes.

Pairs well with
Magma Marble is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
