Drift Delft

Essential Colours FabricBF10678.625

Drift Delft has a pale, cool blue-grey ground with fine irregular flecks that give the surface a softly weathered, linen-like character. Its close, lightly slubbed weave reads as quiet texture rather than a defined motif.

About this fabric

Made from 50% cotton, 28% viscose, 18% linen and 4% polyester, Drift Delft combines a softly varied surface with a versatile mid-weight handle. The blue-grey colouring is muted rather than saturated, with cooler blue threads appearing through the pale neutral ground as the light shifts across the weave. At 137 cm wide, it is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. A 40,000 Martindale rub test supports its use on upholstered seating, while care requires professional dry cleaning only; do not wash, bleach or iron.

How to use it

Use Drift Delft to cool a warm neutral room, where its pale blue-grey tone can bring calm to an upholstered chair, loose cover or headboard. It also works as softly textured curtains or a bedspread when paired with chalky whites, weathered timber and deeper denim accents.

A cool, softly textured blue-grey for relaxed upholstery, curtains and layered bedroom schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
