Summit Woodsmoke

Essential Colours FabricBF10677.935

Summit Woodsmoke has a softly weathered taupe-grey ground with a fine, closely spaced chevron pattern running vertically across the cloth. Its low-contrast tonal weave gives the surface a calm, textured depth rather than a bold graphic effect.

About this fabric

Woven from 42% cotton, 36% viscose and 22% polyester, Summit Woodsmoke combines a muted mushroom-taupe tone with slim lighter chevrons that catch the light across the surface. The 34cm vertical and 17.5cm horizontal pattern repeats create a compact, regular rhythm that remains understated on larger pieces. At 137cm wide and rated to 40,000 Martindale rubs, it is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. The dry, softly mottled appearance suits upholstery where a little directional pattern is wanted without introducing strong contrast.

How to use it

Use this woodsmoke taupe on a sofa, headboard or relaxed armchair alongside warm stone, putty and charcoal shades. Its restrained chevron texture also works well as full-length curtains or a coordinated bedspread in a quietly layered neutral room.

A quietly patterned taupe weave that brings subtle movement to upholstered seating, curtains and bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
