Farley Stripe Gilt pairs a softly textured warm taupe ground with repeated vertical zigzag bands in muted gilt and ivory. The metallic-looking yellow-gold threads give the orderly geometric stripe a gentle lift without making the colourway feel bright.

About this fabric

The woven design is built from tall, angular chevrons, with fine gilt lines nested between pale ivory edges and set against the taupe ground. Its 35% viscose and 65% linen composition gives the surface a natural, lightly slubbed appearance, while the 136 cm width allows the vertical rhythm to read clearly across a furnishing. The pattern repeats every 15 cm vertically and 45.5 cm horizontally, providing useful precision when matching the zigzag columns. It is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads; professional dry cleaning is required, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use the warm taupe ground as the room’s neutral foundation, then pick up the gilt zigzags with aged brass, ochre or softly weathered wood. On a headboard, occasional chair or full-length curtain, the vertical bands add graphic structure while the ivory edging keeps the pattern from feeling heavy.
