Glanville Dove has a quietly dimensional surface, woven in a soft dove taupe-grey with a fine, closely spaced chevron texture. The pale and mid-tone threads create a calm, gently mottled appearance rather than a flat solid colour.

About this fabric

The small-scale woven structure is visible across the swatch as tiny interlocking zigzags, with warm beige and cooler grey threads balancing the overall dove tone. Made from 45% viscose, 35% cotton, 16% linen and 4% polyester, it has a natural-looking, lightly tactile character with a subtle softened sheen. At 137 cm wide, the fabric is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads, while the 30,000 Martindale rub test supports regular upholstery use. Its vertical pattern repeat is 1 cm and its horizontal repeat is 4.5 cm, keeping the understated woven rhythm easy to work with. This fabric must be professionally dry cleaned and should not be washed, bleached or ironed.

How to use it

Use the cool, softened taupe-grey on a tailored armchair or sofa where its micro-chevron texture can add depth without introducing a strong motif. It also makes calm curtains or a bedspread, pairing naturally with chalky whites, warm timber and muted stone shades.
