About this fabric

This compact woven design uses interlocking chevron-like marks rather than a printed motif, creating a neat, tailored texture across the swatch. Its 45% viscose, 35% cotton, 16% linen and 4% polyester composition gives the indigo ground a gently varied surface, with lighter threads catching through the deep blue. Supplied at 137 cm wide, it has a 1 cm vertical pattern repeat and a 4.5 cm horizontal repeat. It is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads, with a 30,000 Martindale rub test. Care is professional dry cleaning only: do not wash, bleach or iron.

How to use it

Use the cool, muted indigo as a tailored upholstery on a chair, headboard or sofa, balancing its tiny oatmeal flecks with pale timber, warm neutrals or brushed metal. It also gives curtains and bedspreads a more structured, finely textured finish than a plain blue cloth.

A compact indigo-and-oatmeal weave that brings tailored texture to upholstery, curtains and bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
