Montacute Soft Blue combines an ivory ground with finely drawn damask medallions in a cool, muted blue-grey. The pale colour gives the ornate pattern a light, airy presence rather than a strong contrast.

About this fabric

This 74% linen, 20% polyester and 6% rayon fabric is printed with repeating, shield-like damask medallions filled with intricate scrolling detail. The soft blue-grey outlines and infill sit gently against the warm ivory ground, while small touches of muted taupe add depth to the fine pattern. With a 50 cm vertical repeat and 66 cm horizontal repeat, the design has a considered medium-scale rhythm across the 132 cm width. It is specified for curtains and bedspreads and must be professionally dry cleaned; do not wash, bleach or iron.

How to use it

Use Montacute Soft Blue for full-length curtains in a calm bedroom or pale sitting room, where its cool blue-grey pattern can sit against ivory, chalk or soft grey furnishings. It is also suited to a coordinated bedspread that keeps the room light while introducing formal decorative detail.
