Ormesby Soft Blue

Keswick Embroideries FabricBF10762.3

Ormesby Soft Blue combines a warm oatmeal-beige ground with gently raised floral embroidery in soft blue, ivory, grey and muted ochre. The cool blue accents give the design a calm, softly faded character rather than a bright or saturated finish.

About this fabric

Large stylised flowers and curling stems repeat across the surface, with pale blue petals, ivory highlights, grey-blue detailing and muted ochre leaves standing out against the beige ground. The embroidered texture adds subtle relief, while the low-contrast palette keeps the overall effect composed and quietly decorative. Made from 80% linen, 10% cotton and 10% viscose, the fabric is 126 cm wide with a 78 cm vertical repeat and a 63 cm horizontal repeat. It is specified for curtains and bedspreads and must be professionally dry cleaned; do not wash, bleach or iron.

How to use it

Use this soft blue colourway for full-length curtains or a coordinated bedspread, allowing its warm beige ground to sit comfortably with natural woods, ivory upholstery and muted blue-grey accents. Its gentle contrast works especially well where a floral pattern is wanted without a strong, saturated colour statement.

A softly detailed floral for curtains and bedspreads, pairing cool blue accents with a warm beige ground.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Ormesby Soft Blue without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
