Amberley Parchment

Portobello FabricBF10907.1

Amberley Parchment pairs a warm, softly mottled parchment ground with a fine taupe floral damask. The low-contrast colouring gives the scrolling stems and botanical motifs a quiet, timeworn elegance.

About this fabric

This woven fabric is composed of 37% cotton, 28% linen and 35% rayon, with a 127 cm width. Its repeating design combines scrolling vines, stylised leaves, carnations and larger floral medallions in subdued taupe-grey against the creamy beige ground. The close tonal relationship between the pattern and background keeps the intricate detail gentle rather than stark, while the woven surface gives the design a softly tactile appearance. A 58 cm vertical repeat and 63.5 cm horizontal repeat make it suitable for considered curtain and bedspread layouts; professional dry cleaning is required.

How to use it

Use Amberley Parchment for full-length curtains in a warm neutral room, where its creamy beige ground can soften darker timber and antique finishes. It also brings a restrained, heritage feel to a bedspread when paired with oatmeal, stone and muted taupe accents.

A softly formal parchment ground with a delicate taupe damask, well suited to curtains and bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
