Portobello FabricBP10914.1

Ebury Stripe Blue combines cool blue lines with ivory ground stripes in a finely textured vertical design. The close-set pattern has a softly irregular, woven character rather than a stark printed finish.

About this fabric

The swatch shows alternating narrow blue pinstripes, darker blue bands and ivory channels containing a small geometric motif, creating clear vertical movement with a softened edge. Its cool, desaturated blue reads quietly against the warm ivory, while the linen surface adds subtle slubbing and tonal variation across the stripes. This 100% linen fabric is 144 cm (56.57") wide and has an 18 cm (7.07") horizontal pattern repeat. It is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads; care requires professional dry cleaning, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use the blue-and-ivory stripe on relaxed tailored curtains to bring height and rhythm to a room, or on an occasional chair where its cooler tone can balance warm timber and natural finishes. Matching bedspreads can extend the narrow geometric detail without making the scheme feel overly formal.

A cool, finely textured linen stripe for tailored curtains, upholstery and coordinated bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
