Shalimar Indigo/Red presents a cool, pale indigo-blue ground filled with an intricate procession of elephants, figures, canopies and architectural details. Deep blue foliage and small red accents give the scene a layered, storybook quality.

About this fabric

This 90% cotton and 10% linen fabric combines an indigo-blue ground with charcoal-blue trees, ivory highlights and concentrated touches of red in the canopies, clothing and textile details. The illustrated repeat has a 55 cm vertical repeat and a 45 cm horizontal repeat, creating a substantial all-over design with plenty of visual movement. At 135 cm wide and tested to 30,000 Martindale rubs, it is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. The surface reads as a lightly textured cloth, while the cool blue palette keeps the detailed scene composed rather than overly bright. Care instructions are professional dry clean only; do not wash, bleach or iron.

How to use it

Use the cool indigo ground on a statement armchair, headboard or loose cover, then echo its red details through piping, cushions or a nearby painted accent. As curtains, the pale blue field can bring pattern and lightness to a room while the dark foliage adds depth.
