Shalimar Aqua shows a richly detailed scenic repeat on a soft, muted aqua ground. Elephants, figures, trees, architecture and rocky landscape vignettes are picked out in cream, olive, charcoal, terracotta and pink.

About this fabric

This 90% cotton and 10% linen fabric has a gently matte, printed appearance, with the cool aqua ground allowing the darker trees and warm illustrated details to stand out clearly. Its large-scale design repeats every 55 cm vertically and 45 cm horizontally, creating an immersive view of elephants, people and architectural scenes across the cloth. At 135 cm wide, it is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. A 30,000 Martindale rub test supports its use on upholstered furniture, while care is professional dry cleaning only: do not wash, bleach or iron.

How to use it

Use the cool aqua ground to lighten a reading chair, window seat or relaxed curtain scheme, then draw out the pattern’s terracotta, olive and dusty pink accents in plain cushions or painted furniture. Its scenic scale works especially well where the full repeat can be appreciated across broad curtains or a statement upholstered piece.
