Balfour Teal

Chifu FabricBP10855.3

Balfour in Teal presents a densely arranged geometric pattern in a muted, deep teal ground. Small diamond motifs introduce softened terracotta, cream and olive notes, with the textured surface giving the colourway a subtly layered appearance.

About this fabric

The close-set pattern is formed from repeating diamonds and stepped geometric outlines, creating a small-scale textile with a strong rhythmic effect. Deep teal remains the dominant tone, while dusty terracotta centres, pale cream lines and olive-brown detailing prevent the design from reading as flat or overly cool. Woven in 82% viscose and 18% linen, the fabric measures 137 cm wide and has a 17 cm vertical repeat with an 11 cm horizontal repeat. Its 25,000 Martindale rub test supports use for loose upholstery and fixed upholstery, as well as curtains and bedspreads.

How to use it

Use Balfour Teal on an occasional chair, sofa detail or bedspread where its cool teal depth can anchor a room. Echo the pattern’s terracotta and cream accents in plain cushions or trim, or use it for curtains to carry the fine geometric rhythm across a wider surface.

Use its muted teal ground and warm geometric accents to add considered pattern to upholstery, curtains or bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
