Balfour Soft Blue presents a small-scale, interlocking diamond weave in a cool, softened blue-grey. Stone, ivory and taupe-brown threads break up the blue, giving the swatch a dry, subtly textured appearance.

About this fabric

Balfour Soft Blue has a tightly repeated geometric pattern of linked diamonds and small stepped motifs, woven in a cool blue-grey with stone, cream and muted taupe-brown accents. The low-contrast palette gives the pattern a softened, quietly layered appearance rather than a bright graphic effect, while the surface shows a fine woven grain. Made from 82% viscose and 18% linen, it is 137 cm (53.82") wide and has a 25,000 Martindale rub test. Its 17 cm vertical and 11 cm horizontal repeats are suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads.

How to use it

Use the cool blue-grey colourway on a tailored chair, headboard or relaxed blind where its small geometric repeat can add structure without dominating. Pair it with chalky whites, warm stone and muted taupe to draw out the softer neutral threads in the design.

The softened blue-grey geometric weave brings quiet pattern and versatility to upholstery, curtains and bedspreads.
