Balfour Red/Green is a densely patterned textile in earthy brick red, olive green and brown, with cooler blue-grey details adding definition to the small geometric design. Its fine woven texture gives the surface a softly tactile, layered appearance.

About this fabric

The close-set pattern is formed from repeating diamonds and lozenges, with brick-red and russet tones balanced by olive green, brown and muted blue-grey accents. Made from 82% viscose and 18% linen, the fabric is 137 cm (53.82") wide and has a 17 cm vertical repeat with an 11 cm horizontal repeat. A 25,000 Martindale rub test supports its use for loose and fixed upholstery, as well as curtains and bedspreads. It must not be washed, bleached or ironed, and should be professionally dry cleaned.

How to use it

Use the warm brick-red ground to bring depth to a study, sitting room or upholstered headboard, then echo the olive-green details with plain cushions or painted joinery. The compact repeat also works well on curtains and coordinated bedspreads without overwhelming the room.
