About this fabric

The design combines repeated pointed floral and ogee forms with smaller teardrop motifs, giving the dark ground a strong vertical rhythm. Burgundy and rust-red shapes bring warmth, while cream and ochre details catch the light against the espresso background. Woven in 49% viscose, 26% linen, 17% cotton and 8% polyester, the fabric is 130 cm (51.07") wide. It is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads, with a 20,000 Martindale rub test and a 69 cm vertical by 26 cm horizontal pattern repeat.

How to use it

Use the espresso and burgundy colourway on a feature chair, headboard or upholstered bench, where its ornate repeat can act as the room’s principal pattern. Pair it with warm ivory, aged timber and muted ochre accents to draw out the lighter details without competing with the dark ground.

A richly patterned ikat for statement upholstery, curtains and coordinated bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
