Ikat Bokhara Blue

Chifu FabricBP10853.1

Ikat Bokhara Blue has a cool, muted denim-blue ground, layered with ivory and pale blue boteh motifs. Fine taupe and stone-coloured details add warmth to the woven pattern without taking it out of its blue palette.

About this fabric

The design is formed from repeated elongated ikat motifs, including pointed boteh shapes, small diamonds and vertical decorative strokes arranged in a dense, symmetrical rhythm. In this colourway, the soft blue ground gives the pattern a calm, slightly weathered character, while the ivory motifs provide clear definition and the taupe accents bring depth. The 49% viscose, 26% linen, 17% cotton and 8% polyester construction has a visibly textured woven surface. At 130 cm wide and with a 20,000 Martindale rub test, it is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads.

How to use it

Use the cool denim-blue ground on a statement armchair or sofa, balancing it with ivory upholstery, pale timber and warm taupe accents. As curtains or a bedspread, its repeated pattern can introduce decorative depth while keeping the room feeling composed rather than brightly saturated.

A versatile blue ikat for tailored curtains, upholstered seating and coordinated bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
