Imari Soft Blue layers cool dusty blue medallions with parchment, taupe and restrained rust details. Its densely arranged circular motifs create a richly patterned surface with an aged, softly muted character.

About this fabric

Made from 67% viscose and 33% linen, this 137 cm-wide fabric shows overlapping circular medallions filled with fine botanical and ornamental detail. The blue is softened rather than saturated, set against warm parchment grounds and taupe outlines, with small rust and ochre accents adding depth. A 62 cm vertical repeat and 137 cm horizontal repeat give the pattern a substantial, generously scaled rhythm. It is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads, with a 25,000 Martindale rub test.

How to use it

Pair Imari Soft Blue with chalky neutrals, weathered timber and warm taupe upholstery to balance its cool blue ground. Use it on a feature chair, relaxed curtains or a bedspread where the large medallions can remain visible.
