Boyd Old Blue

Brett Weaves FabricF4634-04

Boyd Old Blue has a finely dappled woven surface that reads as softly weathered blue-grey with a pale, chalky ground. The tiny checked texture gives the colourway a calm, tailored feel rather than a flat solid.

About this fabric

This Brett Weaves fabric is composed of 44% viscose, 32% cotton, 20% linen and 4% polyester, with an approximate width of 143cm and no repeat. In the swatch, the blue notes sit low and cool against a beige-grey base, creating a subdued, slightly mineral finish with just enough contrast to show the weave. The small-scale texture catches the light in a peppered way, so the surface feels relaxed but still refined. Its balanced composition and mid-weight look make it a versatile choice for both upholstery and drapery, depending on the project. Care code Q 8 < T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for reference.

How to use it

Use this muted blue-grey to soften pale oak, brushed nickel and painted timber, where the subtle texture can add depth without dominating the room. It works especially well in calm sitting rooms or bedroom schemes that need a cool, smart anchor.

A restrained blue-grey weave that brings quiet texture to tailored upholstery or softly structured curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
