About this fabric

This colourway of Erin from the Brett Weaves collection shows a compact zigzag stripe, with tomato red bands set against a muted green ground and pale orange highlights. The weave reads slightly textured and dry rather than glossy, which suits the fabric’s linen-and-cotton content and gives the colours a softly variegated edge. At approximately 142cm wide, it is a versatile cloth for schemes that want pattern without heaviness, and the repeat is a practical V 13cm / H 5cm approx. With 52% viscose, 24% polyester, 15% linen and 9% cotton, it has enough body for upholstery while still working well for curtains and relaxed soft furnishing projects.

How to use it

The tomato red makes an immediate statement on a chair or banquette, while the green ground keeps it from feeling too sharp. Pair it with pale timber, putty paintwork or plain linens so the stripe can carry the room’s colour.

Use for lively cushions, smart banquettes or simple curtains where the zigzag stripe can play across the room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
