Braganza Red

Braganza Red shows a warm coral-red ground scattered with large, flowing floral motifs in soft teal, cream and muted gold. The design feels lively and decorative, with the pattern sitting clearly against the background.

About this fabric

This colourway reads as a warm coral-red rather than a deep crimson, giving the floral repeats a sunnier, less formal feel. The large pattern scale — with a vertical repeat of approx. 76cm and horizontal repeat of approx. 63cm — makes the blossoms and trailing leaves feel expansive across the cloth. Its 52% cotton, 26% linen, 19% viscose and 3% polyester composition suggests a natural, textured handle with a little extra softness and stability. At approx. 129cm wide, it is well suited to larger upholstery pieces or full-length drapery where the embroidered-look motif can be shown to best effect.

How to use it

Pair this coral-red ground with pale wood, warm neutrals and aged brass to keep the scheme bright and tailored. It works especially well in rooms that need a confident hit of colour without tipping into a dark, heavy red.

Use for statement curtains or upholstered pieces where the warm red ground and lively embroidery-style motif can shine.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
