Rowley Old Blue

Braganza FabricF4786-01

Rowley Old Blue pairs a cool powder-blue ground with an ivory lattice and pale mineral accents. The geometric diamond pattern reads crisp and airy, with just enough contrast to give the design definition.

About this fabric

Rowley Old Blue from the Braganza collection by Colefax and Fowler is woven in a 60% Linen, 29% Viscose, 11% Polyester blend with a width of approximately 130cm and a repeat of V 39cm / H 130cm approx. The fabric shows a neat geometric lattice of diamonds, each one detailed with small tonal motifs that soften the structure. In this colourway the blue sits in a gentle, washed powder tone rather than a strong navy, so the pattern feels light and refined. The ivory outlining and muted taupe-beige highlights keep the surface from looking flat, while the weave gives it a slightly textured, tailored finish.

How to use it

Use this shade where you want pattern without heaviness: it would work well on a smart armchair, bench seat, or relaxed curtains in a bright room. Pair it with chalk white, pale oak, or soft greys to keep the cool blue tone calm and clean.

A fresh blue ground with ivory lattice detail that lifts a room without feeling stark.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Rowley Old Blue without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
