Rory Navy

Brett Weaves FabricF4639-07

Rory Navy is a finely textured weave in a cool, muted navy, with lighter yarns crossing through to give the surface a softly speckled, tailored look. The overall effect is understated rather than inky, with a dry, cloth-like finish that reads smart and versatile.

About this fabric

This Brett Weaves fabric from Colefax and Fowler is a 143cm-wide cloth with no vertical or horizontal repeat, making the small-scale weave feel clean and continuous across a piece. The composition combines 40% cotton, 26% viscose, 23% polyester, 9% linen, 1% polyamide and 1% acrylic, which helps explain the tactile, slightly slubby surface visible in the swatch. In Rory Navy, the blue sits in a restrained mid-to-dark register, softened by pale flecks that lift the colour and stop it from reading flat. The result is a practical, textural weave with enough depth for seating while still feeling refined.

How to use it

Use this navy on a sofa, banquette or occasional chair where the woven texture can add interest without pattern. It pairs well with chalk whites, pale woods and brushed metal for a calm, contemporary scheme.

A cool navy weave that feels tailored and easy to anchor with crisp linen or pale oak.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
