Petropolis Teal
Signature Velvets VelvetBP10816.1
Petropolis Teal combines a deep, cool teal ground with densely repeated geometric motifs in rust, coral, cream and charcoal. Its close velvet surface gives the intricate pattern a softly softened, layered appearance.

About this fabric
This GP & J Baker velvet is woven from 55% viscose and 45% cotton and measures 140 cm wide. The design forms a compact lattice of diamonds, small medallions and curling botanical-like details, with warm rust and coral marks cutting through the dark teal base. The pattern repeats every 26 cm vertically and 28 cm horizontally, creating a consistent all-over rhythm across the cloth. It is supplied for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads; professional dry cleaning is required, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.
How to use it
Use the deep teal ground as a dramatic anchor on a chair, sofa or upholstered bed, then pick up the rust and coral details with plain cushions or piping. Against warm timber, aged brass or darker painted furniture, the cool teal and ember-like accents create a richly layered scheme.
A richly patterned teal velvet with rust, coral and cream accents for statement upholstery.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Petropolis Teal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
