About this fabric

This colourway has a dense, even velvet surface that shifts subtly as the pile catches the light, giving the plain finish extra depth. The Tahitian Blue tone sits between teal and ocean blue, with a slightly green cast that keeps it feeling polished and modern. It is supplied at 137cm wide and is suitable for curtains, loose cover upholstery and fixed upholstery, with a hard-wearing Martindale result of 100,000 rubs. The fabric is contract and general domestic upholstery grade, and it conforms to BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1. Care should be taken with dry clean, delicate wash at 30C, and it should not be ironed or tumble dried.

How to use it

Use this shade on a tailored sofa or armchair where the jewel-toned velvet can become the room’s focal point. It also works well for curtains in a cooler scheme, especially alongside brass, walnut and pale neutral walls.

A rich jewel tone that adds depth and polish to both upholstery and curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
