About this fabric

Part of the Omega IV collection, this velvet is woven in a practical blend of 60% polyester, 28% recycled polyester, 8% acrylic and 4% viscose. It has a plain appearance, so the appeal here is all in the dense velvet texture and the understated smoke-grey tone, which sits between silver and stone rather than reading as a flat charcoal. With a Martindale rub test of 100,000 and upholstery grading for contract and general domestic use, it is well suited to hard-working seating as well as curtains and loose covers. The FR rating conforms to BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1, and the 137cm width makes it straightforward for upholstery and soft-furnishing work.

How to use it

Use Smoke where you want a smart neutral with enough depth to anchor pale walls, timber and metal details. It is especially effective on sofas, banquettes or full-length curtains when you want a cool, cohesive backdrop.
