About this fabric
Woven in a durable velvet construction, this colourway has the plush, close pile associated with upholstery fabrics and a refined finish that feels smart rather than flashy. The composition is 60% polyester, 28% recycled polyester, 8% acrylic and 4% viscose, giving the cloth a practical, resilient handle. With a 100,000 Martindale rub test and upholstery grading for both contract and general domestic use, it is well suited to hard-working seating as well as fixed and loose covers. The 137cm width and plain pattern make it straightforward to cut and tailor, while the BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1 fire rating adds further specification confidence. Its deep green shade has a forest-spruce depth that looks especially rich where light brushes across the pile.
How to use it
Use this spruce velvet on a sofa, banquette or headboard for a grounded, more formal statement. It pairs well with warm wood, brass and pale stone, which stop the green reading too dark.
