About this fabric

This Linwood velvet is composed of 60% polyester, 28% recycled polyester, 8% acrylic and 4% viscose, giving it a dense, even hand and a practical performance balance. The plain construction and 100,000 Martindale rub test make it suitable for contract and general domestic upholstery, as well as curtains and loose or fixed covers. In this colourway, the surface sits between ochre and caramel, with a sunny spice warmth that deepens in shade and softens to a burnished gold in the light. The 137cm width and stain-resistant finish add to its usability, while the BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1 rating supports upholstery projects that need reassurance as well as style.

How to use it

Use Spice on an occasional chair, banquette or headboard to add warmth without resorting to a strong red or terracotta. It also works well for curtains where the velvet pile can deepen the golden tone and bring a mellow glow to a room.
