About this fabric

This 416 gsm velvet has a dense, substantial presence suited to upholstery, while its softly handled surface gives the intense blue-green colour a subtle depth as the light shifts across it. Broad, irregular bands of marine blue and emerald teal are broken by turquoise washes and pale white passages, producing an abstract effect reminiscent of rolling water or cloud. The fabric has a 137 cm usable width, with a 123.9 cm vertical repeat and a 66 cm horizontal repeat for planning pattern placement. Its listed construction is 57.7 threads per cm, supporting the closely worked appearance visible in the swatch.

How to use it

Use the cool, saturated teal and marine ground as the focal point on a statement sofa, occasional chair or upholstered headboard. Pair it with chalk white, pale aqua or warm natural wood to let the white flashes and deep blue-green layers retain their contrast.
