Beauregard Absinthe/Turquoise

Alba Fabric04709-02

Beauregard in Absinthe/Turquoise is a lively botanical print on a warm ivory ground, with winding olive stems and cool turquoise-green blooms. The design feels airy and painterly, with each motif standing out crisply against the light background.

About this fabric

This fabric from the Alba collection by Manuel Canovas is composed of 77% linen and 23% viscose, giving the printed surface a soft, cloth-like handle with a gentle sheen from the viscose content. The repeat is large, at approximately V 76cm / H 124cm, which suits the sweeping, branching floral layout visible in the swatch. In this colourway, the absinthe greens and turquoise blues read fresh and springlike, while small touches of lilac and yellow keep the pattern from feeling too cool. The overall effect is decorative but not heavy, with the motifs spaced to let the pale ground breathe.

How to use it

Use this colourway where you want colour without darkness: it works especially well on curtains, loose upholstery, or cushions against pale timber, plaster, or stone. The cool turquoise notes sit neatly beside soft greens, putty neutrals, and brushed brass.

Pair with quiet plains and natural textures so the painterly colours can do the work.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
