About this fabric

Biot Canard from Manuel Canovas is a fabric with a compact woven surface and no visible repeat, which helps the texture feel continuous and easy to place across a project. The 138cm approximate width and fibre mix of 40% viscose, 30% linen, 26% cotton and 4% polyester point to a cloth with a natural handle and a refined finish. In this colourway, the teal base is broken up by lighter flecks and deeper blue notes, giving the cloth a slightly heathered, stonewashed look rather than a flat solid. The cool palette keeps it fresh, while the small-scale structure adds enough movement for upholstered pieces that need interest without strong patterning.

How to use it

Use Biot Canard on a clean-lined sofa, slipper chair or banquette where its blue-green depth can read against oak, walnut or brushed metal. It also works well with chalky neutrals and layered linens, bringing a cooler note to a calm scheme.

A crisp, compact weave that suits tailored upholstery and neat cushions.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
