Biot Aubergine

This Biot colourway has a compact, tactile weave that gives the surface a fine checkerboard effect rather than a flat solid ground. The aubergine tone is dark and rooted, with muted red-plum notes softened by pale slubs and lighter yarns across the face. With a width of approximately 138cm and a composition of 40% viscose, 30% linen, 26% cotton and 4% polyester, it has the feel of a characterful upholstery textile with natural texture and a little added stability. The all-over pattern is small and non-directional, so the fabric keeps its interest close to the surface without overpowering a piece. No performance features are noted, and the design is further defined by its very restrained repeat of 0cm vertical and horizontal.

Use this aubergine weave on an accent chair, ottoman or banquette where its deep plum tone can anchor a scheme. It pairs especially well with dark timber, aged brass and warm neutrals that pick up the lighter flecks in the cloth.
