About this fabric

Woven in a blend of 40% viscose, 30% linen, 26% cotton and 4% polyester, Biot Celeste has the tactile, slightly crisp character you would expect from a linen-rich cloth. The fabric shows a fine basket-like texture with tiny flecks of pale blue, stone and ivory that keep the overall effect soft rather than flat. At approximately 138cm wide and with no repeat in either direction, it is straightforward to pattern match and easy to use across larger pieces. The cool celeste tone feels fresh and understated, while the mixed fibres add a subtle dry lustre when the light catches the weave.

How to use it

Use it on an armchair, bench or loose cover where the pale blue can lift darker woods and brass. It also works well for relaxed curtains, especially in rooms that benefit from a calm, coastal-leaning palette.

The pale, speckled blue brings a calm coastal feel to tailored upholstery or light curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
