About this fabric

Biot Coquelicot from Manuel Canovas is a fabric with a finely textured, small-scale woven appearance and a repeat of V 0cm / H 0cm approx, giving it a neat, non-directional look. The 138cm approx width and 40% viscose, 30% linen, 26% cotton and 4% polyester composition suggest a versatile cloth with a soft hand and a little structure. In this colourway, the coquelicot red reads bright and warm, softened by pale cross-weave threads that stop it feeling flat or overly bold. The overall effect is crisp but tactile, with the little squares creating a clear rhythm across the surface. The √BM fire code and Q 8 < T 3 care code are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use this red on an accent chair, ottoman or tailored cushions where the lively colour can punctuate neutrals. It also works well against chalky whites, warm woods and brass, where the woven texture adds depth without overwhelming the room.

A lively red that adds warmth and texture to tailored schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
