About this fabric

This colourway reads as a soft golden maize with pale cream highlights, creating a lively speckled effect across the surface. The weave is clearly visible in the image, with a compact, textured structure that adds depth and a slight slubbed character. At approximately 138cm wide and composed of 40% viscose, 30% linen, 26% cotton and 4% polyester, it has the balanced handle of a versatile decorative fabric. The zero repeat makes the surface feel uninterrupted and easy to work into clean-lined interiors. Its bright but softened yellow tone keeps the cloth feeling fresh and usable rather than overly vivid.

How to use it

Use Biot Mais to lift neutral upholstery, neat cushions or tailored blinds, where its warm maize shade can add cheer without overpowering the room. It works especially well with pale wood, chalky whites and muted greys for a crisp, contemporary finish.

A bright, textured maize tone that brings warmth without feeling heavy.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
