Levante Chartreuse is a richly golden chartreuse textile with a softly brushed, irregular surface pattern. Fine pale strokes and broken curved marks drift across the ground, creating movement without a sharply defined motif.

About this fabric

The dense-looking 498 gsm construction gives this Clarke & Clarke fabric a substantial presence for upholstery. Its golden yellow-chartreuse tone is warm and slightly earthy rather than bright lime, while the lighter woven marks catch the surface in scattered, chalky flashes. The abstract pattern has a 20 cm vertical repeat and 17.5 cm horizontal repeat, producing a gently varied rhythm across a chair, sofa or headboard. With a usable width of 137 cm and a standard length of 40 m, it offers practical coverage for larger upholstery projects.

How to use it

Use Levante Chartreuse to bring a warm, sunlit note to a deep-toned room, particularly on a statement armchair, ottoman or loose-cushion sofa. Balance its lively woven marks with quiet oatmeal, walnut or charcoal accents so the golden chartreuse remains the focal colour.

A substantial textured weave whose golden chartreuse ground brings warmth and movement to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
