About this fabric

This colourway shows a rich tropical teal that reads bright and cool rather than dark or muted, with the velvet pile catching the light to create a soft, tonal sheen. It is woven in a practical blend of 60% Polyester, 28% Recycled Polyester, 8% Acrylic and 4% Viscose, and the plain surface keeps the focus on the colour depth. With a 100,000 Martindale rub test and upholstery grading for contract and general domestic use, it is well suited to hard-working seating as well as curtains. The 137cm width and plain pattern repeat make it straightforward to cut and upholster, while the FR rating conforms to BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1. Care is by dry clean, and it can also be washed delicately at 30°C with care.

How to use it

Use this teal velvet to bring energy to a sofa, armchair or banquette, especially against oak, walnut or brushed brass. It also works well as a curtain colour in a bright room where the saturated blue-green tone can lift pale walls.
