Oriental Bird Signature Eau De Nil

This colourway sets the Oriental Bird design against a pale eau de nil ground, giving the dense flowering composition a cool, airy appearance. Fine branches, perched birds and layered blossom clusters are picked out in softened coral, pink, cream, olive and brown.

About this fabric

An eau de nil ground gives this print a cool, softly muted blue-green character, with the close surface reading light rather than heavy. Across it, slender brown branches carry cream, blush-pink and coral flowers, olive leaves and small perched birds. At 137 cm wide, the 85% viscose and 15% linen cloth has a 79 cm vertical repeat and a 46 cm horizontal repeat. Its 25,000 Martindale rub test and listed use for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads support the pattern across both decorative and seating applications.

How to use it

Use the pale eau de nil as a cool backdrop for painted furniture and layer in the print’s blush, coral and olive accents through cushions or upholstery. Its detailed branching pattern is particularly effective when shown across full curtains or a statement chair.

Use the cool eau de nil ground to bring a refined chinoiserie character to curtains, upholstery or a bedspread.
