California Velvet Indigo/Teal

California Velvet Indigo/Teal combines a shadowy indigo ground with saturated teal botanical forms and warm ochre accents. The dense floral composition has an atmospheric, jewel-toned depth, while the velvet surface gives the darker areas a soft, subdued lustre.

About this fabric

Large stylised flowers, curling stems and layered leaves fill the design, with turquoise and blue-green petals standing out against the charcoal-indigo background. Ochre, muted olive and small rust-toned details warm the otherwise cool colourway, giving the pattern a painterly, collected appearance. Made from 60% viscose, 30% cotton and 10% polyester, this 137 cm wide velvet has a 21,000 Wyzenbeek Wire Mesh rub test and is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. The pattern repeats every 72 cm vertically and 68.5 cm horizontally; care requires professional dry cleaning, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use this deep indigo-teal colourway on a statement chair, sofa or upholstered bed, then echo its ochre and olive details in cushions or trims. It also brings a dramatic, softly light-catching finish to full-length curtains in a richly layered room.
