Petropolis Emerald has a deep, dark green ground animated by tightly repeated ornamental motifs in moss, ochre, antique gold, rust and ivory. The plush surface gives the pattern a softly irregular, richly tactile appearance as the pile catches the light.

About this fabric

This velvet is composed of 45% cotton and 55% viscose, with a 140 cm width and a pattern repeat of 26 cm vertically by 28 cm horizontally. Its dense arrangement of mirrored geometric and floral-like forms creates a tapestry effect, while the emerald base keeps the overall colourway grounded and dramatic. Subtle changes in the pile make the green move between shadowy forest tones and brighter jewel-green highlights. It is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads; care instructions specify professional dry cleaning only, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Pair Petropolis Emerald with aged brass, dark timber and warm ochre accents to draw out the gold and rust details. On a chair, headboard or full-length curtain, its deep green base creates a richly layered, collected look rather than a fresh botanical feel.
