Baker Iris Emerald combines a deep, shadowed emerald velvet ground with softly painterly cream iris blooms. Fine green stems and leaves trail across the surface, while the darker tone gives the floral arrangement a richly atmospheric character.

About this fabric

This GP & J Baker Signature Velvets design is made from 55% viscose and 45% cotton, with the pile catching a restrained, softly shaded sheen across the dark green ground. Cream and muted wheat-coloured iris flowers provide a gentle contrast, while the slender leafy stems introduce lighter green detail without breaking the deep emerald depth. The fabric is 140 cm (55") wide and has a 59 cm (23.18") vertical repeat with a 70 cm (27.5") horizontal repeat. It is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads; care instructions are professional dry clean only, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use this deep emerald colourway on a reading-room armchair, footstool or upholstered headboard, then repeat the cream iris tones in lampshades or cushions. Its dark, lush ground also makes full curtains feel intimate and enveloping rather than bright or airy.
