Nympheus Velvet Indigo

Nympheus Velvet Indigo depicts a dark pond-like botanical scene, with lotus flowers, layered leaves and small perched birds picked out against a deep indigo ground. The green foliage and muted ochre, peach and blue details give the colourway a richly painted, jewel-toned depth.

About this fabric

This velvet combines 60% viscose, 30% cotton and 10% polyester in a 137 cm width, with a generous 90 cm vertical repeat and 68.5 cm horizontal repeat. The near-black indigo background makes the emerald, moss and olive leaves appear especially deep, while soft peach lotus blooms and ochre botanical outlines bring measured warmth. Fine bird details add movement across the large-scale composition, making pattern placement an important part of upholstery or curtain making. With a 50,000 Martindale rub test, it is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads.

How to use it

Use this cool, dark indigo colourway on a feature chair, ottoman or loose cover where the green foliage can sit alongside aged timber and warm neutrals. It also makes atmospheric full-length curtains or a coordinated bedspread, especially in rooms that can carry its deep, illustrated tone.
