Rockbird Velvet Indigo is a richly patterned velvet set against a deep, cool indigo ground. Cream magnolia-like blooms, flowering branches and vividly coloured birds create a layered, painterly surface with strong visual depth.

About this fabric

Made from 90% cotton and 10% polyester, this 120 cm-wide velvet has a substantial, softly light-catching appearance suited to both fixed and loose upholstery. The 103 cm vertical and 120 cm horizontal repeats organise the indigo field with branching forms, pale blossoms, coral-pink flowers and flashes of turquoise, red and warm ochre. Its 20,000 Martindale rub test supports practical upholstery use, while the supplied usage also includes curtains and bedspreads. After care is professional dry cleaning only; do not wash, bleach or iron.

How to use it

Use this cool, dark indigo colourway on a statement armchair, headboard or sofa where its cream flowers and jewel-toned birds can be appreciated at close range. Balance the lively pattern with warm wood, aged brass and quiet neutral upholstery elsewhere in the room.
