Petropolis Sienna

Signature Velvets VelvetBP10816.4

Petropolis Sienna is a richly coloured velvet with a tightly repeated ornamental pattern in warm rust, olive, charcoal and aged cream. Its layered surface gives the design a deep, tapestry-like appearance, with the sienna accents catching the eye against the darker tracery.

About this fabric

This GP & J Baker velvet combines rust-sienna medallions and warm brown grounds with olive, cream and near-black details, creating a complex, heritage-inspired colourway. The pattern repeats every 26 cm vertically and 28 cm horizontally, giving upholstery a clearly defined but not oversized rhythm. Woven in 55% viscose and 45% cotton, the fabric is 140 cm wide and is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. Its care instructions are professional dry clean only; do not wash, bleach or iron.

How to use it

Use Petropolis Sienna on a feature armchair, ottoman or sofa where its warm rust and olive tones can anchor a room of aged timber, leather and muted stone. It can also bring depth to curtains or a bedspread, especially alongside charcoal, tobacco and antique brass accents.

A richly patterned velvet for statement upholstery, curtains and bedspreads, with warm sienna balanced by olive, charcoal and cream.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
