About this fabric

This GP & J Baker velvet has a 10% polyester, 60% viscose and 30% cotton composition, a 137 cm width and a 72 cm vertical by 68.5 cm horizontal pattern repeat. The colourway is led by deep brick and scarlet reds, offset by aged mustard, olive, leafy green and slate blue, while the cream background keeps the dense floral composition visually open. Fine dark outlines, tendrils and small sprigs give the design an illustrated quality, and the velvet surface adds gentle depth to the varied tones. With a 21,000 Wyzenbeek Wire Mesh rub test, it is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads.

How to use it

Use this red and cream colourway as the room’s decorative focal point on an occasional chair, sofa or headboard, balancing its saturated florals with plain cream, olive or warm wood tones. Its 137 cm width and curtain usage also make it suitable for bringing the same botanical colour story into window treatments.
