California Velvet Emerald has a deep, cool emerald ground filled with painterly flowers, curling stems and layered leafy forms. The softly textured velvet surface gives the dark botanical design a subtle depth as the light moves across it.

About this fabric

The rich green ground shifts between forest, moss and saturated emerald tones, creating a moody colourway with considerable visual depth. Large stylised blooms, elongated leaves and winding stems form an expressive botanical arrangement, with muted blue-green, olive and warm ochre accents. Its vertical pattern repeat is 72 cm and its horizontal repeat is 68.5 cm, giving the design a generous, flowing scale. Made from 60% viscose, 30% cotton and 10% polyester, the 137 cm wide velvet has a 21,000 Wyzenbeek Wire Mesh rub test and is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads.

How to use it

Use California Velvet Emerald on a reading chair, headboard or statement sofa where its cool, dark green ground can anchor a room. Repeat the olive and ochre notes from the foliage in cushions, painted wood or antique metal accents for a layered botanical scheme.
